Good report! That's a pretty woodduck! All we see in va far as geese goes is Canadians, its neat to see pics of birds I don't get to see locally.
I had been a long time since I hunted in fog. I can't remember doing it in the last decade. Anyhow went to the lake. Was a slow morning with fog so thick that by the time you saw birds they were in range. Shot the wood duck as the flew by overhead. Heard a drake mallard but never was able to see him. Then I hear snow geese coming my way. This nice blue made the mistake of flying fairly low in the fog. Its been a really long time since I have shot a blue. Slow morning but the blue goose made it all worth it. Got to go back to work tomorrow so no more reports until Saturday.

I've never hunted tidal waters, I usually either hunt beaver ponds or freshwater river, but water levels definitely can change things..
It has been foggy here too for the last two mornings.
There were trees less than 200 yards in both those pictures. We did kill 8 mallards and ring neck when it finally lifted around 9:30
